The genus Moranopteris (honoring NYBG Fern Curator, Robbin C. Moran), widespread in the Neotropics, was recently segregated from among the Grammitid ferns (Polypodiaceae). The monograph treats 28 species and 1 hybrid, with a key to taxa, as well as full descriptions, discussions, exsiccatae, and illustrations.
